Grain Specifications for Suppliers

To ensure food safety, quality, and traceability, all grain suppliers must meet the following minimum quality specifications before delivery.

Unprocessed White Maize

  • Dry white maize, free from stones, metal, and live insects
  • No abnormal flavors, musty, sour, or other undesirable odors
  • Moisture Content: < 13.5%
  • Foreign Material: Max 1%
  • Pest Damage: 0%
  • Immature/Shriveled: 2%
  • Rotten and Diseased: 4%
  • Discolored Grains: 1%
  • Live Infestation: 0%
  • Pesticide Residues: Free

Barley

  • Moisture Content (MC): 13% and Below
  • Germination Capacity (GC): Above 97%

Sorghum

  • Dry, well-filled grains of uniform color
  • Free from stones, metal, and live insects
  • No abnormal flavors, musty, sour, or undesirable odor
  • Moisture Content: Max 12.5%
  • Total Admixture (foreign material, screenings & trash): Max 0.6%
  • Foreign Material: Max 0.4%
  • Tannin-Free Minimum: 95%
  • Aflatoxin B1 (Max): 5 µg/kg
